This page explains what happens to your information when you use this website. It is written in plain English, and it describes what this site actually does — not a generic template.

What I collect

I only collect information you type into the enquiry form yourself. Nothing is gathered in the background. When you send an enquiry, the form asks for:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, if you choose to give it
  • Your town
  • What kind of project you have in mind
  • Roughly when you would like it done
  • A rough budget range, if you choose to give one
  • Whatever you tell me about the space

Only your name and email address are required. Everything else is optional, and an enquiry with the optional fields left blank reaches me exactly the same way.

Why I collect it

So that I can reply to you and have a useful first conversation about your project. That is the only reason. I do not add enquiries to a mailing list, and I will not send you marketing you did not ask for.

What this site does not do

This is worth stating plainly, because most websites do the opposite:

  • There is no Google Analytics, or any other analytics or visitor-tracking software.
  • There are no advertising or social media tracking pixels.
  • The fonts and images are served from this website itself, not from an outside company, so simply reading these pages does not report your visit to anyone else.
  • I do not sell, rent, or trade your information. Ever.

If you browse this site and never fill in the form, I do not learn anything about you.

Where your enquiry goes

When you submit the form, two things happen. Your enquiry is saved to this website so that it cannot be lost, and a copy is emailed to me so that I see it promptly. That means your information is held by this website’s hosting company and passes through the service that delivers the email. Both are ordinary business suppliers who process it on my behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

How long I keep it

If we work together, I keep your details for as long as I need them for our project and my business records. If we do not, I delete your enquiry within about two years. You can ask me to delete it sooner and I will.

Cookies

This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies, which is why you are not being shown a cookie banner. The website software may set a small technical cookie if you submit the form, purely so the page can tell you your message went through.

Your choices

You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Just get in touch using the details below and I will sort it out. You do not need to give a reason.

Children

This site is meant for adults hiring a decorator, and I do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If I change how this site handles your information, I will update this page and change the date below.
